Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane elements from Membrane Solutions are widely used to provide safe drinking water for families and light-commercial applications. As the main filtration stage of the RO system, MS RO membranes deliver consistent performance with advanced membrane technology and automated spiral-wound fabrication.
The MS RO membrane elements, certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 58, feature a high permeated flow while maintaining a 99% total dissolved solids (TDS) removal rate and a stabilized 97% salt rejection rate. These membranes can efficiently remove contaminants such as heavy metals, including primary fluoride, calcium, magnesium, lead, colloids, chromium, and nitrates, as well as organic matter, rubber, harmful minerals, and other soluble salts from the water.
Featuring a universal size of 11.75 x 1.75 inches, the MS RO membrane fits most 10-inch industry-standard RO systems. The product is compatible with a wide range of RO systems, including APEC Water Systems, Express Water, H2O Splash, Home Master, iSpring, and more. However, it is not compatible with systems that have specific RO housing designs, such as Culligan, EcoWater, GE, Microline, Rainsoft, Watts Premier, and Whirlpool.
With a 75 gallons per day (GPD) capacity, the MS RO membrane can produce up to 3.1 gallons (11.8 liters) of purified water per hour, providing enough for approximately 8 glasses of 8-ounce water. The membrane's advanced polyamide thin-film composite material and high-quality manufacturing ensure consistent and reliable performance.
These RO membranes are 100% performance and quality tested, certified to NSF/ANSI 58 and verified by independent laboratory testing. Membrane Solutions recommends rinsing the elements for 24 hours prior to first use to meet the NSF/ANSI 58 standards, and discarding the first full tank of permeate before using the water for drinking or food preparation.
To maintain the membrane's integrity, it is recommended to keep the elements moist at all times after initial wetting and to immerse them in a preservative solution when not in use. The membrane has some resistance to short-term chlorine (hypochlorite) exposure, but continuous exposure should be avoided as it may damage the membrane.
