It is compatible with all Home Master Whole House Filter systems. The filter contains 3 lbs of KDF85 media, which is effective in removing chloramines, hydrogen sulfide, and soluble heavy metals such as iron, manganese, lead, mercury, copper, and aluminum. Additionally, the filter incorporates catalytic carbon media to eliminate chloramines, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, iron, manganese, chemicals, as well as improve taste and odor.
The typical lifecycle of this filter is 95,000 gallons, and it is manufactured in the USA. The recommended operating conditions include a pH range of 6 to 10, manganese levels less than 1 PPM, iron levels up to 1 PPM, no iron bacteria, and hydrogen sulfide levels below 1 PPM. The feed water pressure should be within 20 to 90 PSI, and the temperature should range from 40 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The maximum total dissolved solids (TDS) should not exceed 2000 PPM.
It's important to note that the filter's performance may vary depending on regular maintenance, the general condition of the unit, and the initial water supply. The filter is not designed to treat microbial unsafe or non-potable water without adequate disinfection before and after the unit.
